Lead Business Analyst

Role overview

What you’ll do

  • Utilize expertise in the banking domain to drive requirements gathering and traceability within an Agile/SAFe framework.
  • Track tasks efficiently and execute with speed and impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Communicate effectively, breaking down information granularly while also adapting communication style to different stakeholders.
  • Prioritize requirements and manage the product backlog effectively.
  • Demonstrate a self-starting attitude, taking on tasks beyond job description and seeing them through to completion.
  • Foster innovative thinking to develop new solutions and continuously improve product and delivery processes.
  • Conduct application demos with business stakeholders.
  • Utilize estimation techniques in Agile for sprint and project planning, including financial planning.

What you bring to the role

  • Bachelor's degree and/or product certificate required; graduate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the banking domain.
  • 5-7 years of experience in Product Owner or Agile-related delivery roles.
  • Certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and project management experience are considered assets.
  • Experience or certification in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with banking products and processing systems is highly desired.
  • Excellent communication skills, deep understanding of Agile methodologies, and a proven track record of success in driving product development within the banking sector.

Working arrangements

We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Toronto, ON. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs.
