About this opportunity:
This position will lead the field operations team and will be accountable to deliver a safe, efficient, and compliant operation while promoting a culture built on corporate values. This role requires technical proficiency and competency in all aspects of Conventional’s production facilities operations and requires a thorough understanding of Conventional’s safe work practices, programs and procedures. This position will be based in Elmworth Plant, AB.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible as a team member for the safe and efficient performance of the asset’s production goals
- Supports the Superintendent, Area Coordinator and engineering with development of annual OPEX budgets.
- Identifies potential risks in conflicting schedules, Health & Safety, adherence to policy commitments and Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS)
- Supports multi-disciplinary teams with a high level of competency
- Provides guidance on effective troubleshooting of assets to meet deliverables on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and supports resolutions on process upsets
- Monitors team performance to support members’ cross training and effectiveness
- Manages Development Plans and Performance Assessments
- Assisting Engineering on facility projects, planning, and execution.
- Performs regular audits and inspections.
- Maintain Conventional’ s production facilities operations and requires a thorough understanding of Conventional’s safe work practices, programs, and procedures.
- Assisting your team to develop or update ESP process procedures, project, and turnaround planning.
- Accountable to deliver a safe, efficient, and compliant operation while promoting a strong culture built on corporate values within your team.
- Drives culture change consistently to ensure alignment with Cenovus values and standards.
- Mentor others to develop future leaders, key role in developing succession planning.
- Provides coverage for Area Coordinator as required.
Qualifications:
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- 10+ years of relative experience in field operation process.
- Strong organization and multi-tasking skills.
- Demonstrate leadership experience and skills.
- Possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license (driver’s abstract is required)
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and lead by example skills.
