Reporting to the Senior Supervisor, Projects, the Lead, Projects is responsible for leading various aspects of projects including the scoping, planning, and execution stages while engaging with sites to provide delivery support.

Responsibilities:
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Develop and maintain project schedules, plans, budgets, and schedules across the Coal portfolio, including leading and supporting the transition of current projects into operation through effective operational readiness management, commissioning, and start-up planning
- Advise and support operational staff to ensure alignment and engagement throughout the project lifecycle. Recommend personnel and other requirements to build effective project teams that are resourced to achieve objectives
- Collaborate with site operational teams to facilitate project delivery and align effective management
- Facilitate Resource strategy and planning meetings to address operational readiness resource staffing
- Enable efficient decision processes through information gathering, collaboration, analysis, and providing recommendations
Qualifications:
- Engineering degree in chemical, mechanical, electrical, or civil or a combination of equivalent experience and related certification
- Registered, or eligible to register, with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC); Teck will support eligible employees with their EGBC registration
- Minimum four years of project work experience including all aspects of project management, engineering design, construction, and OR/Commissioning
- Experience working in mining or similar heavy industry is considered an asset
- Experience in project frameworks, team alignment, implementation rollouts, and effective operational collaborator engagement with internal resources and external contractors is considered an asset
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite®: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Salary Range: $101,000 - $125,000
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
Successful candidates must be willing to satisfy the pre-employment requirements of a pre-employment drug screen and three professional references.
