Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team in the food industry. As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will be responsible for assisting in food preparation and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for cooking and a desire to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
- Assist in cooking and plating dishes according to recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation of meals
- Monitor food stock levels and communicate any shortages or needs to the appropriate personnel
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the food service industry is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
