Job Description
We have an exciting new opportunity available, as we are seeking Logistics/Customer Service Coordinator to join our team! The Logistics/Customer Service Coordinator works under the guidance of the Logistics/Customer Service Lead Hand, but reports directly to the Purchasing & Materials Manager. Cross-functional relationships exist with all departments.

Job Responsibilities
- To perform your duties respectful of safety, of co-workers, and of all equipment and materials.
- Scheduling of press/weld shop, ensuring it’s running according to plan.
- Update components in ERP system for part specific match to a press and/or weld cell.
- Verify blank weight entry is correct to ensure material or components will be ordered in a sufficient manner.
- Update purchasing for press, welding and assembly line potential shortages.
- Assist when needed with data entry on production, welding and assembly, etc.
- Review the production schedule and support daily priorities for specific areas.
- Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules.
- Review of shipment schedules; conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates, and to assist solving production problems.
- Develop contingency plans for any orders tracking behind to production schedule.
- Act as a liaison between departments.
- Summarize, report, and escalate all impediments to the production schedule.
- Interact with shop floor management on a daily basis to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies.
- Effectively communicate with associates and customers in person, via telephone, and by e-mail to accomplish necessary objectives.
- Review and communicate production daily requirements and plan and schedule workflow for all areas scheduled.
- Co-ordinate physical inventory and co-ordinate product cycle counts.
- Investigate and report all inventory discrepancies.
- Assist/train other Logistics/Customer Service Coordinators as needed.
- Adjust all inventories when approved by department Manager or delegate.
- Cross training in other departmental positions to cover absences.
- Assist Material Handlers with the organization of NCR area and warehouse.
- Ensure Containment area is cleared out in a timely manner.
- Preparation, delivery and organization of Customer reports and required documents (including but not exclusive to Inventory/Production reports, scrap reports, Affidavits, NAFTA etc.)
- To enter all customer releases and maintain customer orders.
- Arrange freight in/out as necessary to facilitate customer delivery satisfaction.
- To assist with telephone answering duties.
- Monitor and maintain all shipping documentation on ERP system.
- Review and load any manual BOLs on ERP system, pass all documentation to accounting for invoice purposes.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly inventory reports for customers as required.
- Follow up with buyers on a daily/weekly basis to ensure all components and parts are up to date for shipping and delivery.
- To manage and maintain the DTR log, ensuring timely and accurate data input.
- Coordinate the preparation/pickup of NCR Materials by suppliers.
- Preparation, delivery and organization of Courier Shipping, NAFTA, CTPAT documents as required.
- Be aware of and execute any customer specific requirements. · Other duties as assigned by Lead Hand, Manager, or General Manager.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write legibly, speak and understand English.
- Secondary Educational Completion; Post-secondary education an asset.
- Knowledge of relevant Quality Management System.
- Excellent network computer skills, including fluency in MS Office.
- Strong MS Excel background required; data analysis and data maintenance.
- Experienced and effective production scheduling and optimization skills.
- Knowledge of logistics and cross border documentation, NAFTA certificates etc.
- Detail oriented with a continual desire to improve.
- Knowledge of ERP system.
- Ability to work independently.
- Understanding of relevant Quality Management Systems.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong work ethic.
- Team player, able to balance multiple priorities.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
