Maintenance Planner

Williams Lake, British Columbia


Keeping our mill running safely and sustainably is a team effort and requires the leadership of an experienced Maintenance Planner. If working with a great team while balancing projects sounds like your kind of challenge, take a look at what we offer.

We’re looking for a Maintenance Planner to join our redesigned, modern lumber mill located in Williams Lake, British Columbia. Our Lakeview Division safely and sustainably produces over 230 million board feet of lumber per year for customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • A strong technical background, preferably gained as an engineering technologist or as a certified journeyperson (though not required).
  • Experience in planning maintenance outages (minor and major) and turn-arounds and the ability to maximize and balance utilizationof maintenance resources and minimize downtime.
  • In-depth understanding of preventative and predictivemaintenance practices, along with advanced skills in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Experience leadingteams in a production/industrial environment and ability to collaborate across teams.

In this role, you will:

  • Apply your technical skills and manufacturing experience to build regular and turnaround/shutdown maintenance plans to keep the mill running it’s best.
  • Use your awareness of project management concepts to efficiently manage both major and minor maintenance outages.
  • Leverage your excellent planning and organizing skills to ensure staffing, tools, equipment and materials are in place to safely and quickly complete planned maintenance.
  • Understandstores/spare parts management processes and know how to utilize the resources available to you and plan.
  • Partner with departments across the mill to deliver excellent customer service.
