Maintenance Technician

Metal-Pac Mfg. Ltd. is an established HVAC Component and Custom Sheet Metal Manufacturer since 1959 and is looking to add a Maintenance Technician to our team! This position will join the Maintenance Team and provide support to our Operations by troubleshooting, attending to repairs and preventative maintenance to equipment and the general facilities. We seek an individual who excels in a collaborative, continuous improvement and goal-oriented environment, with experience in equipment and facility repairs.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support Maintenance Manager by updating: Priority List & Schedule, Part(s) Required for Repair/Preventative Maintenance, Parts Inventory, and providing updates to Manufacturing Manager in the Maintenance Managers stead
• Prioritize tasks and projects in alignment with organizational needs/requirements
• Assist in sourcing parts/components
• Troubleshooting electrical & mechanical problems
• Repairing General Facilities and Equipment
• Collaborate & communicate with other departments to facilitate repairs/preventative maintenance
• Maintain an organized and clean working space
• Adhere to SOP’s and safety protocols when performing duties
• Adjust priorities/schedule as needed or requested
• Provide support to Machine Operators as needed or requested
• Maintain up to date knowledge of equipment and facility requirements
• Repurpose and upcycle broken-down equipment
• Complete other duties as assigned

• Knowledge in Sheet Metal Manufacturing Production Equipment considered an asset (Riveters, Presses & Shears, Lock Formers, CNC)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Programs considered an asset (Word, Excel, OneNote, Outlook)
• Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge
• Experience in facilities maintenance
• Millwright experience considered an asset (preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $30.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Education:

• Secondary School (preferred)
