Manager Change Management

Position Highlights
The Human Resources team is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to fill the Manager Change
Management role. You will lead a team of Change Management Specialists and Consultants through the design and
development of organizational systems that encourage stakeholders (internal & external) to quickly adopt new technologies, new
business processes and new ways of performing various operations, with the ultimate purpose of improving the company's
return on investment.
Reporting to the Director, Organizational Development & Effectiveness, the Manager will be responsible for providing guidance,
advice and support to clients in managing all aspects of change associated with the transformation of the organization to align
with business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organizational structures. This includes oversight and
leadership of all organizational Change Management project team activities with the focus on the people side of change.
Highlights
  • Lead the organization wide promotion of the change team’s service delivery model, its framework/toolkit, as well as building on
a campaign to develop organizational wide change mindsets and change maturity levels in ICBC
  • Accountable for the design, governance of the established Change Management framework and toolkit for the Change
Management Centre of Expertise (CoE)
  • Champion and promote a holistic and integrated approach in identifying opportunities, risks and limitations amongst projects
across all divisions
  • Sets the stage, the tone and direction of what change products the team needs to build to fulfill its service delivery offering
  • Oversee a portfolio of ongoing Change Management projects, inclusive of change governance, resourcing and reporting around
projects
  • Advise senior leadership on Change Management best practice, partnering to educate, advice and deliver Change Management
services to support their business objectives
  • Collaborates with HR colleagues on the design and implementation of Change Management related initiatives pertaining to
building organizational change capability
  • Assess the need for external partners to work alongside ICBC’s Change Management team and support where required for
larger programs
  • Manage external partners/vendor relationships as required
  • Accountable for the development and management of metrics and dashboards to measure and report on the ROI, measure,
track the number of change projects across the organization and the level of impacts across business areas and individual
stakeholder groups
  • Accountable for the management and leadership of the Change Management Centre of Expertise, which is comprised of
Change Management Specialists and Consultants
  • Provide coaching, guidance and technical direction to Change Specialists, Change Consultants and external contractors
ensuring they are fully equipped and supported to achieve change objectives
  • Establish best practices and procedures in Change Management that drive and support the organization’s ability to meet
operational, financial, and service requirements
Position Requirements
Specific to the leadership accountabilities of this role, the Manager, Change Management should possess and/or demonstrate:
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience
  • Thorough knowledge of, and experience in, Change Management principles and methodology
  • Deep experience in organizational Change Management program design and implementation
  • Deep experience in project management and resource management
  • Sound knowledge of the process areas being transformed and an understanding of how the process, including supporting
system(s), integrates with other processes and initiatives
  • Being adept at learning the client business, creating internal partnerships, fostering collaboration and recommending strategies
that fit the client culture and business model
  • Competent in diagnosing individual and organizational performance improvement needs, matching intervention methodology
with needs, and determining the appropriate development measures
  • The capability to support the recruitment and retention of employees and provides inclusive leadership through performance
and development planning and general people leadership
  • Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to articulate complex ideas in a simple and straightforward manner to all stakeholders, including front-line
employees to senior leadership
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities with high attention to detail
  • Possesses strong analytical skills, good listening skills with ability to effectively coach and mentor others; must be able to lead
by influence
  • Proficiency in business management, statistics, analytics, and spreadsheet software such as Excel
  • The ability to coach and provide developmental feedback and recognition to team members
As this position requires sound understanding of Change Management concepts and methodologies, this specialized training is
typically recognized by an undergraduate degree (Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business
Administration, Organizational Behaviour etc.) and/or a professional designation in the specific field of Change Management
(CCMP, CMC, Prosci). Also recognized and equally valued is hands on experience in leading teams that execute Change
Management projects.
Several years of related direct/indirect work experience leading multiple Change Management initiatives within large and
complex organization is typically required for someone to perform this job competently.
