Manager, Child Care Programs (Full-time 37.5/week) – Richmond, BC

$70,000-$75,000 yearly

YOUR IMPACT:

· Foster a safe, happy, and stimulating environment for children and staff.

· Ensure equipment and the physical environment is free of health and safety hazards.

· Nurture relationships with each child and family based on mutual respect, trust and the celebration of the uniqueness of each child and family.

· Liaise with partner agencies and professionals to support children’s progress and success.

· Provide leadership and guidance for staff in planning and implementing inclusive, developmentally appropriate activities that meet the needs of each child.

· Facilitate effective team communication and interpersonal relationships emphasizing cooperation and flexibility

YOUR CAPABILITIES:

· Formal training in Early Childhood Education, with Special Needs and Infant/Toddler Certification preferred.

· Five years’ recent experience and at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

· Strong written, verbal, and nonverbal communication skills.

· Demonstrated ability and experience to deliver inclusive programming with a sensitivity to people from diverse cultural, health and socio-economic backgrounds.

· Current First Aid Certification and clear, current Criminal Records Check.

In addition to being the largest service provider for people with developmental delays or disabilities, Richmond Society for Community Living (RSCL) has offered quality Child Care in the City of Richmond for over 30 years. Seedlings Child Care Centre will provide a full range of Child Care programming, creating more than 100 new spaces in a state of the art facility that is conveniently located in central Richmond along The Canada Line Skytrain route.
