What you’ll do
It’s safe to say, there’s no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key accountabilities of the role:

-Key strategic Finance Business Partner to Store Operations leadership team
-Collaborates with internal departments such as Property Development, GS&P, Marketing, Loss Prevention, Human Resources, and the Field to identify strategic opportunities, and review processes and procedures to identify opportunities and improve accuracy of the forecasts and rolling plans.
-Leads data analytics, financial modeling and presentation of financial information to support key business initiatives and decision support.
-Responsible for providing financial support to the Store Operations department, including all financial reporting, the creation and on-going management of the budgets (i.e. Store Sales, Payroll, Expense & Capital budgets). It is also responsible for providing financial support and analysis for strategic business initiatives, organizational strategy and supports talent needs (i.e. succession planning) to address changing business requirements.
-Responsible for planning, establishing, and managing the Stores Operations budgets (Expense & Capital), as well as the Regional and Home Office budgets, with an annual spend of over $600M.
-Oversees the development of the Payroll budget and the analysis of variances to plan.
-Responsible for the analysis of budget deviations, forecast expenses, and presentation of Store Operations financial results to senior Leadership.
-Responsible for supporting and maintaining the store labour model by incorporating and calibrating labour productivity standards tied to store revenue and/or changes in productivity; presents recommendations to senior leadership.
-Acts as a key business partner to the SVP COO, SVP of Stores, CFO, and other senior Leadership to provide valuable analytical insights in all areas of Store Operations; influences and support strategic business initiatives.
-Oversees the development and management of effective systems for internal controls surrounding the financial reporting process and systems.
-Drives the Finance Store Operations performance and talent development strategy through formal leading, coaching, and developing of the team.
What you’ll need
To begin your career with us, we require the following:

-A minimum of seven (7) years of professional finance experience, including a minimum of five (5) years in a financial reporting leadership capacity.
-Post-secondary education specializing in Finance & Accounting; related education may be considered.
-A completed CPA designation is considered an asset; in progress designations may be considered.
-Advanced knowledge of and the ability Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
-Excellent analytical skills – capable of identifying, researching, and manipulating relevant data or information; interprets and presents results in an influential way to facilitate strategic outcomes.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability the flexibility to adapt communication styles to suit an intended audience (i.e. dealing with internal Associate inquiries as well as external customer concerns).
-Excellent budgeting and Project Management skills.
-Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Access), databases (i.e. TM1) and excellent capabilities with Microsoft Excel; experience utilizing data visualization software (i.e. Power Bi) is considered an asset.
-Strong interviewing skills including the recruitment, selection, and orientation of new Associates. Excellent managerial capabilities that include coaching team members, providing guidance or feedback to Associates, and conducting formal performance evaluations.
