- learn how an in-house corporate Marketing and Communications and communications team functions
- contribute to work priorities and requirements alongside the ACCES Marketing & Communications team including projects, assignments, and a variety of initiatives including but not limited to content creation, design, digital projects, social media, events, and strategy.
- work with the ACCES Marketing and Communication team in achievement of specific goals and objectives
- learn the relationship between Communication strategy and tactics and how they are closely connected
- work within the candidate's College or University Internship program parameters
- Support Marketing and Communications goals and objectives in alignment with ACCES's Strategic Priorities.
- Provide support and assistance across all Marketing and Communications functions as needed, with main responsibilities in content creation, design, digital marketing, social media, media relations, event planning and coordination, and strategy.
- Carry out assigned ad-hoc projects and assignments throughout the duration of the internship.
- Will be provided an opportunity to be mentored, coached, and counselled by the Marketing and Communications team members at ACCES.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality with respect to sensitive and confidential information and materials.
- Strong team player, with the ability to collaboratively participate as an effective member of the Marketing and Communications team.
- In progress of completing post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations or related field.

- Positive, can-do attitude with an ability to “roll-up the sleeves” and work collaboratively with the team to reach the Marketing and Communications team's goals
- High level of professionalism and ability to identify, handle and safeguard confidential information with the utmost discretion.
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills
- Able to work independently and be self-disciplined.
- Able to work effectively in a team environment where priorities can change frequently
- Willing to take initiative to identify and recommend opportunities to enhance Marketing and Communications programs and services and take on new responsibilities as assigned within designated hours of placement.
- Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and has an aptitude to learn new software skills, i.e., Canva, Mailchimp, Premiere Pro.
