The Opportunity

The Role

As we embark on an exciting phase of growth, we recognize the pivotal role marketing plays in shaping our path forward. As the driving force behind our marketing efforts, you will not only develop and execute a robust marketing strategy, but will also be instrumental in fostering the evolution and growth of our marketing team.

The person in this role will:

Effectively shape and lead the marketing team

  • Leads, supports, and grows the team to elevate skillsets and expertise

Grow the company

  • Develops and executes a strategic marketing plan, in alignment with company’s objectives and vision for growth

Develop and formalize KPIs

  • Develops and implements KPIs for all marketing initiatives

The right candidate will be responsible for:

1. Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with company objectives and vision.
  • Provide guidance and direction to the marketing team, fostering a structured and goal-oriented approach.

2. Team Leadership:

  • Lead and motivate our marketing team.
  • Cultivate a positive and collaborative work environment.

3. Structural Enhancement:

  • Evaluate and improve the existing marketing structure, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement systems and processes to enhance productivity and results.

4. Creative Marketing:

  • Infuse creativity into marketing strategies, bringing innovative ideas to the table.
  • Encourage and support the team in exploring new, inventive approaches to marketing.

5. Data-Driven Approach:

  • Utilize data analytics to inform decision-making and optimize marketing performance.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly analyze results.

6. Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and align marketing strategies with overall company goals.

Must-haves (qualifications, experience and skills)

· Solid marketing experience

· Management/leadership experience (min. 2 years +)

· Proven experience in developing and executing marketing strategies/plans

· Experience implementing and tracking KPIs

· Positive energy, ability to inspire and motivate a team

· Advanced understanding of digital marketing, including Google Ads, email marketing, social media and SEO

· Balance of data-driven/methodical and creative/innovative

· Proactive/willingness to take initiative, and ability to take direction well

· Based near GTA or could travel regularly for in-person meetings with EPIC’s leadership team; and travel a minimum of once annually to meet with East Coast team members in person

Nice-to-haves (qualifications, experience and skills)

· Previous experience in education/training industry

· University degree

· Bilingual English-French

· Experience with CRMs/HubSpot

Interview Process

Due to a high volume of applicants, we are unable to respond to every application we receive. If you are chosen to move forward, our interview process follows this sequence:

1. Brief phone screening with HR business partner

2. 30-minute interview with the Operations Manager over Zoom

3. 30-minute Interview with the team and Operations Manager over Zoom

4. 60-minute in-person interview with the Operations Manager and President

5. A decision is communicated and an offer is extended, contingent on references. Reference checks are conducted
