Reporting to General Manager of Marketing, the Marketing Specialist will work with the internal marketing team and be responsible for the development and execution of the marketing strategy for the company overall and the Homes / Communities / Commercial divisions under the Cantiro umbrella.
Primary responsibilities are to manage the marketing efforts for specific projects, to assist the project management teams with client outreach; and work closely with various suppliers (i.e. freelancers, agencies, printers, media, etc.).
The individual will implement effective tactics to increase brand awareness, sales, and continuously monitor and adjust as their research suggests.
Focus will be ensuring Area Sales Managers, Development Managers and Marketing are working collaboratively to achieve business goals.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
With an emphasis on marketing objectives and deep knowledge of the business, the Marketing Specialist's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Marketing Plan Implementation
- Contribute to the overall development of the strategic marketing plan under the leadership of the General Manager
- Work collaboratively on interdepartmental teams to develop and address business objectives and specific projects/issues
- Conduct ongoing client/market research
- Monitor competition and their strategies
Result Driven Performance·
- Implement marketing campaigns and ensure quality control and projects adhere to overall business objectives·
- Work directly with Project Manager(s) and Salespeople in driving the marketing activities for select communities.·
- Work within approved budgets and timelines for campaigns, digital content, signage, collateral materials, etc.·
- Responsible for the execution of campaigns on-time, on-budget·
- Assist with the planning and implementation of website content updates in Content Management System (e.g. WordPress)·
- Assist with the planning and implementation of CRM activities·
- Work with project management teams for event planning, execution and communication·
- Consistently monitor results of marketing strategies against KPIs, providing status updates to internal stakeholders, working closely with them to support their marketing initiatives and adjusting plans as needed ·
- Meet or exceed expectations for return on objectives and effectively control expenditures ·
- Effective time-management and superb organizational skills, and ability to effectively delegate to your team to manage workloads·
- Ensure excellence in all marketing materials
Partner with Sales Team & Third Parties
- Build and sustain relationships with all stakeholders, including third party providers such as agencies, freelancers, media buyers and merchandise providers
- Nurture relationships through professional, promotional, and social interaction aligned with corporate culture of being open, honest, ethical and genuine
- Proactively maintain relationship with sales/project management team by seeking improvements to marketing-related processes
- Support Sales/Project Managers with leading Builder/Developer meetings for divisional projects
- Participate in providing an exceptional customer experience by anticipating issues and responding to opportunities/challenges in a timely manner
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years of marketing experience
- Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communications or similar
- Experience with CRM systems (SalesForce) and CMS (Wordpress)
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on a team to plan and execute an overall marketing strategy
- Familiar with Edmonton real estate market
- Experience with online marketing, digital and print advertising, database marketing, social media, retail marketing, collateral development, direct mail, radio, out-of-home and signage
- Event coordination experience

- Ability to work independently or with a team
- Excellent attention to detail, writing and grammar skills

- Collaboration skills and the ability to work in an environment with multiple stakeholders
- Versatility – you can think on your feet, learn fast, and grow your skill sets where needed
- Work may be required after hours and on weekends, sometimes on short notice
- Valid drivers license and access to personal vehicle – travel is primarily local during business hours and is reimbursed based upon mileage
