Medical Assistant/Scribe

The Toronto GI Clinic is looking for an IMG/Medical Graduate to fill a part time Medical Assistant/Scribe at our clinic. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilites:

• Accompany healthcare providers during patient visits/procedures while accurately gathering and documenting medical information in real-time
• Use gathered medical information to draft written documents and forms or update preexisting documentation in the electronic medical records (EMR) software
• Ensure all medical records are complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory standards
• Collaborate with other healthcare and administrative professionals to ensure smooth productivity and workflow.

Experience:

• Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred
• Strong familiarity with GI medical terminology, endoscopic procedures is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal English skills, with emphasis on typing ability
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
• Proficient with EMR software
• Proficient with computers
• We accept International Medical Graduates (IMGs)

Schedule:

• Must be available to work on these days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday
• Day shift
