Medical Office Assistant / Medical Receptionist

Job duties:

• Answer phone calls
• Schedule and confirm medical appointments with patients
• Register patients when they arrive at the doctor’s office
• Update patient's records
• Ensure patients understand office policies
• Call patients to remind them of upcoming appointments and schedule off-site services
• Bring patients into exam rooms
• Take vitals
• Assist the doctor with what is needed
• Enter and format electronically based medical reports and correspondence
• Help patients complete documents and medical history forms
• Maintain confidential medical history files

• Proficiency with computer software

Experience requirements:

One year of working in a doctor's office preferred.

Education and training requirements:

A degree in Medical Office Assistant preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

• Medical Office: 1 year (preferred)
