We are a family practice clinic located in mid town Toronto. We are dedicated to offering the best care we can to our patients and provide a cheerful although busy work environment. The clinic is modern and located in a secure building across from the subway.

Job description

We are looking for a medical receptionist/secretary to join our busy family practice clinic. The Medical Office secretary is responsible for the overall office administration, ensuring that matters are carried out in a professional and courteous manner in servicing the needs of the patients and those of the medical practitioners. At all times, strict patient confidentiality is upheld. If you have excellent communication skills and can work well along side others, are reliable, empathetic, able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment,with excellent command of the english language, then we would like to meet you.

The job requires the candidate to provide a variety of clerical and administrative support duties utilizing computerized applications. Job duties include but are not limited to answering the telephone, booking appointments, liaising between doctors and patients, filing electronically, ordering supplies, stocking rooms and managing referrals.

Preference is given to candidates with a Canadian medical secretary diploma and previous work experience in a Canadian Medical Office (1 - 2 years minimum). The ideal candidate must have proficient computer skills, excellent telephone manners and very good interpersonal skills. Strong verbal and written English language communication skills are required. The ability to adapt and learn additional skills is necessary; on the job training will be provided. Candidate must be able to reliably commute to the clinic in mid-town Toronto, Monday to Friday 9-5 pm. The candidate will be working directly with three doctors and one other administrative staff.

Salary will reflect years of relevant experience in a family Medical Office.
