Medical Office Assistant/Receptionist

Maternity leave replacement Medical Office Assistant (full-time) is needed for a high-paced, multi-physician, Respiratory specialist practice. Office is walking distance from the Trillium Health Partners - Mississauga Hospital. Position available.

Tasks include:

• Scheduling patients for clinic, tests and procedures
• Communicating with patients, other offices and healthcare facilities
• Maintenance of patient electronic charts
• Help Medical Office assistants with answering telephones, finish daily tasks and faxes, as needed
• Assist in the care and maintenance of office equipment
• Limited office maintenance, care and cleaning

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of word processing systems and office applications (including Outlook and Word)
• Knowledge of basic computer operating systems including file searching, saving, and back-ups
• Proficiency with technology and electronic medical records (preferable Accuro)
• Must be detail oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills
• Demonstrates a high degree of initiative, self-direction and ability to multitask
• Must be available primarily for Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm
• Previous MOA certificate / experience is an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
