Reporting to the Maintenance General Foreman, the Mine Maintenance Supervisor - Mobile is accountable for the supervision of trades personnel (HDEMs) so that budgetary targets are met or exceeded regarding safety and health, production, metallurgical and quality performance, operating economics, environmental compliance and productivity. This involves close communication and coordination with fellow reports, and relies heavily upon the incumbent providing leadership and technical expertise to subordinates.
This position requires the completion of a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or related trades certification and a minimum of 3 to 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
The incumbent must possess excellent leadership abilities and superb communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage a variety of functions simultaneously. A degree in mechanical engineering or related field would be considered an asset.
