Reporting to the Supervisor, Mining Systems, the Mining Systems Analyst is responsible for delivering and maintaining innovative digital mining technology. This role follows an 8x6 10-hour schedule.
These exciting technologies optimize fleet efficiency, compliance, geotechnical monitoring, and operator safety through tracking and monitoring. This involves autonomous and tele-remote equipment, rugged mobile computers, and systems.

The Mining Systems team is responsible for a large portfolio of business-critical systems that are used to optimize the safety, productivity, and environmental sustainability of Teck’s mining operations. In this role you will collaborate with innovative software, hardware, and service suppliers to develop, deliver and maintain these systems.

Responsibilities:
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Identify, deliver, and maintain digital Mining Systems across all Teck operations prioritizing safe production, including Autonomous Haulage, fleet management, high precision guidance, geotechnical monitoring, and operator safety among others
- Develop expertise and breadth of knowledge by performing cross-team support for other Operational Technology teams
- Provide on-call and after-hours support for Mining Systems failures and emergencies.
- Apply organizational change management techniques to derive more value from existing technologies and ensure maximum adoption of new technologies
- Plan, develop, and support solutions to meet the business objectives of the Mine Operations, Engineering, and Operating Excellence departments at all Teck mining operations
- Adhere to the Teck Digital Systems change control and other policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Degree or technical diploma in Computer or Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of one year experience delivering and supporting information technology services in an industrial setting, preferably in mining
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals relating to wireless networking, firewalls, and knowledge of common network protocols
- Experience supporting a fleet management system in a mining environment is considered an asset

Salary Range: $76,700 - $95,900
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
Successful candidates must be willing to satisfy the pre-employment requirements of a pre-employment drug screen and three professional references.
