The Harm Reduction Support Worker contributes to the program’s goals of reducing the incidence of Hepatitis C (HCV) and HIV transmission among Person’s who Use Drugs (PUDs). This offer of employment is for a full-time position (35 hours per week) and the execution of work within Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent.
JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES:
· Work as a member of the Harm Reduction Department to implement the annual workplan and budget in line with the organization’s strategic plan and provincial Harm Reduction objectives.
· Use inventory management system (Sortly) to monitor and update inventory levels, including incoming and outgoing stock; ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution.
o Maintain collaborative relationships with suppliers.
o Accurately record inventory transactions, including returns, and adjustments.
o Review orders and shipment for accuracy.
o Ensure delivered stock is inputted into Sortly and placed in the correct storage rooms in an organized manner.
o Monitor stock levels and generate purchase orders to replenish inventory in a timely manner, preventing shortages and overstock situations.
o Monitor cost and quality of goods received and resolve any issues with suppliers.
o Allocate purchases to appropriate accounts.
o Report discrepancies.
· Ensure that PPCS in-centre Needle Syringe Program inventory is kept stocked; replenish as needed.
· Provide oversight, direction and assistance to persons packaging items for distribution.
· Assist with mobile delivery services throughout Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent (Wednesday & Friday).
· Adhere to current Pozitive Pathways policies and procedures.
· Participate as an active member at all department and organization staff meetings.
· Other related duties as assigned by the Director of Programs & Services or designate.
