The Georgian Court hotel is looking for a dynamic, customer service focused Part-time Night Auditor with a strong work ethic to join our Guest Service team. We are a 4 star boutique hotel with a long standing tradition of luxury and comfort in the Downtown Vancouver area.
The Night Audit position is responsible for processing guest accounts during check in and check out and for the reconciling and balance of the days revenues. The Night Auditor will roll the day in our PMS system (Opera) and ensure that all revenues, taxes and folios are posted accurately and prepare the daily reports prior to shift end. The Night Auditor will act as the Manager on Duty for the overnight shift Shifts will run from 11:00pm until 7:30am for the Night Audit Position.
- Provides exceptional guest service at all times
- Helps build the experience for our customers through a ‘Customer comes first” attitude
- Communicates with and approaches guests to inquire about their stay and ensure quality service.
- Responds to customer questions regarding hotel facilities, and local events
- Effectively handles guest concerns
- Responsible for handling and maintaining a cash float
- Responsible for accurately entering and maintaining reservations
- Communicates effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
- Effectively makes and alters reservations within Opera
- Effectively managing time to complete all tasks assigned during their shift
- Follows established hotel security and safety policies
- Ensures organization and cleanliness of the front desk area
- Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
- Friendly and sociable personality
- Has a genuine desire and ability to exceed guest expectations
- Always maintains a professional demeanor and appearance
- Two years experience as a guest service agent in a 4 star hotel and/or a hospitality diploma /degree
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Must be a motivated individual who works well within a team environment
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Computer literate
- Knowledge of Opera is an asset
- Preference will be given to applicants with one year hotel experience
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts including holidays and weekends
