Join Our Team as an NPO Assurance Manager
Join our not-for-profit group and help lead our dedicated team of auditors and consultants as they strengthen our clients' financial foundations, offering invaluable insights to ensure compliance and enhance their impact in the not-for-profit sector.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and manage annual audits for our not-for-profit group from planning to completion.
- Ensure adherence to best practices and professional standards.
- Actively participate in planning, organizing, executing, and ensuring timely completion.
- Participate in implementing non-profit strategic initiatives.
- Conduct in-depth research on accounting framework and standards.
- Providing partner and team member support.
- Successfully delegate tasks to team members at all levels.
- Flexibility to complete additional ad-hoc assignments as required.
- Foster open communication channels to better understand client needs and expectations.
- Coach and train CPA candidates to address specific strengths and areas for growth.
- Organize regular feedback sessions to track progress and provide constructive guidance for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Canadian CPA or equivalent international certification.
- 7+ years in assurance within public accounting.
- Proficiency in diverse accounting frameworks (CAS, NPO, and Public Sector), CaseWare,
- Microsoft Office, and Tax Prep software.
- Proven expertise in client relationship-building, understanding non-profit dynamics, and fostering effective communication and collaboration among clients, team members, and partners for successful engagement outcomes.
- Strong ability to prioritize workloads, meet deadlines, and perform effectively under pressure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Values teamwork, client/customer service, professionalism, quality in detailed work, community involvement, personal and professional growth.
