Position Summary:
General Managers are responsible for the direct supervision of front-line employees along with employee shift distribution and organization. General Managers are also responsible for liaising with referring caseworkers to ensure that service requests are carried out in a timely manner and a high standard of service is reached. General Managers are responsible for reporting to and consulting with the Program Managers, the Director of Services, and the Executive Director regarding critical and noteworthy incidents.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Direct supervision of front-line staff.
- Assist with complex scheduling and shift distribution.
- Demonstrate leadership in developing, enhancing, and maintaining standards of excellence in the treatment and ethical conduct of persons served in accordance with Canadian Accreditation Council standards and the agency’s mission and objectives;
- Provide 24/7 on-call support for all Assure Community Services programs;
- Serve as a consultant for the agency.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in office administration and/or in the human services field;
- Proven experience as an office administrator, office assistant, or relevant role in the human services field;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook;
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail;
- Experience working respectfully with diverse populations;
- Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous culture, beliefs, and traditions;
- Excellent attention to agency safety standards;
- Excellent leadership skills, especially the ability to work collaboratively with the management team and to contribute to a warm, respectful office culture;
- Willingness and ability to work irregular hours under pressure conditions (40-hour work week including a combination of regular daytime, evening, and weekend shifts);
- Strong sense of initiative and high work ethic;
- Excellent ability to coach front-line staff and achieve program success through others;
- Dedicated to maintaining high standards of professional competence and integrity.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
