SalaryLakeview Manor is one of four long term care homes owned and operated by the Region of Durham and is located in Beaverton, ON. Beaverton is located 45 minutes north of Whitby up Highway 12 and 30 minutes south of Orillia.
We are currently looking to hire Nursing Students for summer student employment opportunities. Nursing Students will work in the capacity of Personal Support Workers and will provide personal care and assistance to residents with their activities of daily living.
The minimum hourly rate for the position is $21.39 per hour. An additional $3.00/hr wage enhancement is also provided.
Shift premiums are provided when working Afternoons, Nights and Weekends.
The positions are part-time in nature. You must be available to work Days, Afternoons and Nights. You must also be available to work up to 3 weekends per month. Students must also be available to pick up extra shifts; the more willing and available you are to pick up shifts, the more opportunity you will have to work and increase your income.
Positions are scheduled to commence as early as May 1 and will run until end of summer, and no later than Labour Day.
To be eligible, you must be: currently enrolled in a nursing program (BSCN or PN), returning to your studies in the Fall, and at least age 18 by December 31st.
