Boundary Electric is looking for an Office Administrator to join our team!!
The Office Administrator is responsible for ensuring the workplace runs smoothly and supports the technical logistics in the office space. This position will be in charge of creating well organized environment that is welcoming to our staff, customers and visitors. The Office Administrator will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities and a proactive approach to problem solving.
Key functions:
· Office
o Plan and organize office activities and corporate events
o Keep the CEO’s calendar current, including adding events, rescheduling appointments and providing daily briefings
o Attend meetings and take minutes, follow up on action items as required
o Oversee and manage supplies and programs for office, kitchen, and cleaning as needed
o Communicates with and directs activities of cleaning staff
o Manages budget for office with support from the Director of Finance
o Act with class and tact as the corporate host by providing an elevated level of hospitality and creating a welcoming environment for guest and visitors
o Assists in HR functions, including onboarding, training and employee relations
o Uses shared calendar and boardroom calendar and other tools as directed
o Orders business cards and company swag as directed
o Book Travel, coordinate meetings etc. for the Office Team
o Serve as a central point of contact for internal and external communications and ensuring supporting documents are maintained
o Support bookkeeping services
o Collaborate with IT department to manage office equipment while supporting the office on troubleshooting issues.
o Maintain filing system
o Ensure that meetings and training sessions begin on time with prep material delivered in advance
o Maintains and improves office organization
o Other administrative tasks as assigned
Education, Skills and Attributes:
· Friendly and pleasant demeanor
· High degree of emotional intelligence, possessing the ability to be influential without arrogance or ego
· The ability to react with situational appropriateness
· Two years’ experience in a similar role in a similar environment
· Excellent attention to detail
· Strong level of oral and written communication and word processing skills
· Ability to work under pressure and show initiative
· Outstanding time management skills and attention to detail
· Maintain confidential information
· OFA Level 1
· Able to work full time

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
