PRIMARY FUNCTION
To welcome and provide general information and assistance to the visitors and clients; receive and route telephone calls and provide clerical support in the office.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome visitors to the office, assist them in making appointments, assures their comfort and directs them to the proper staff or service; maintain Google calendar for all settlement staff (showing appointments and time away from the office)
- Answer telephones; screen calls, forwards calls, and/or record and forward messages accurately; may transcribe messages from telephone answering machine
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail within the office; files correspondence and other materials as required
- Update client information on the Correlate database
- Maintains necessary files; sorts, files, and retrieves documents and records as necessary
- Other tasks as assigned

- Ability to work collaboratively with management, staff, clients, and community stakeholders
- Valid Manitoba Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Sitting for long periods
- Occasionally required to lift no more than 20 pounds
