Roseway Manor is currently seeking a highly organized, outgoing, resident focused professional to fill the position of Office Assistant. For the successful candidate, this will be a temporary (18 months) full time 40 hours per week position.
Our 66 residents come from all walks of life and have varying ranges of abilities and needs. As the Office Assistant you will be required to assist all residents and their families with various financial or administrative tasks while maintaining Roseway Manor's Mission, Vision and Philosophy of Care.
Responsibilities:
- Clerical duties - incoming and out going mail, maintaining incoming and outgoing emails, banking deposits, petty cash, and filing
- Accepting and receipting monies from residents, families, etc.
- Updating of staff/resident information
- Maintaining the daily census
- Resident admissions/discharges - Meeting with family members/POA to discuss financial aspects of their admission, thoroughly discussing admission documents
- Accommodations - Monthly invoicing for residents and completing the deposit process in conjunction with the Business Manager, invoicing for Trust charges
- Meals on Wheels - receiving new clients, creating driver calendar, recruiting new drivers
Qualifications:
- Work well in a team environment while maintaining independence with some tasks
- Flexible and able to easily change gears as needed
- Resident focus approach
Education Requirements:
- Post secondary diploma for Office Administration, Office Information Technology or a related field of study
- Two (2) years work experience
- Or an equivalent combination of related work and education
