The Office Assistant Team Member supports the OBLT Manager and administrative team with a variety of aspects of the organization such as: general office duties, minute taking, data entry, and basic website maintenance including social media.
The proposed schedule is September to June, Tuesday to Thursday within school hours
- There is flexibility on the use of your 12 hours per week
- This position follows the same administrative schedule as Qualicum School District
- Winter Vacations, Spring Breaks and Summers off
Required Skills & Experience:
- Self-starter who can work independently and be a team player
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and shows initiative
- Flexible, patient, and adaptable to a variety of situations
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Possess strong data entry and spreadsheet skills
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Able to use databases with the ability to produce meaningful reports and charts
- Excellent time management skills
- Familiarity with non-profit organizations
- Experience working in a collaborative team (work, school, or volunteer)
- Fundraising experience
- Experience using WordPress is an asset
Education
- Post-secondary education in administration or related field would be an asset.
Additional Information:
- Current clear RCMP Record Check is a hiring requirement
- Familiarity with OBLT programs and community resources would be an asset
