Office Assistant

The Office Assistant Team Member supports the OBLT Manager and administrative team with a variety of aspects of the organization such as: general office duties, minute taking, data entry, and basic website maintenance including social media.

The proposed schedule is September to June, Tuesday to Thursday within school hours

• There is flexibility on the use of your 12 hours per week
• This position follows the same administrative schedule as Qualicum School District
• Winter Vacations, Spring Breaks and Summers off

Required Skills & Experience:

• Self-starter who can work independently and be a team player
• Highly organized, detail oriented, and shows initiative
• Flexible, patient, and adaptable to a variety of situations
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Possess strong data entry and spreadsheet skills

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Able to use databases with the ability to produce meaningful reports and charts
• Excellent time management skills
• Familiarity with non-profit organizations
• Experience working in a collaborative team (work, school, or volunteer)
• Fundraising experience
• Experience using WordPress is an asset

Education

• Post-secondary education in administration or related field would be an asset.

Additional Information:

• Current clear RCMP Record Check is a hiring requirement
• Familiarity with OBLT programs and community resources would be an asset

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Salary: From $20.00 per hour
