Description
A 10 month (210 days) Office Coordinator position responsible for coordinating office activities in Learning Services including providing administrative and project support, clerical assistance, obtaining and maintaining student data, running reports, logistics planning, interfacing with First Nations, Metis and Inuit community partners, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor. This particular position supports the First Nations, Metis and Inuit Education team within Learning Services. In addition, the Office Coordinator supports professional staff with their organization and implementation of activities related to First Nations, Metis and Inuit programs and partnerships, student success, and on-going supports to the broader Division.
Required Qualifications:
- Certificate/diploma from a recognized training program (a combination of education and experience may be considered)
- Commitment to ideals and principles of Catholic education
- Participation in a First Nations, Metis or Inuit community context
- A minimum of two years related experience
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Excel), Maplewood, Google forms, and other software specifically related to the education sector
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work well with others
- Good working knowledge of budget maintenance
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Build and maintain relationships and communicate effectively with First Nations, Metis and Inuit people
- Superior organizational skills
- Familiarity with First Nations, Metis and Inuit organizations and governance partners
- Knowledge of First Nations, Metis and Inuit culture, traditions and family systems
Terms of Employment:
- As per Collective Agreement
- 7.0 hrs/day
- 10 month (210 days)
- To begin asap and continue to June 28, 2024, or the return of the incumbent if earlier
- Salary range $24.98 to $29.51 per hour
