Position Title: Supervisor, Operations
Team and Location: Commercial – Vancouver Area Marinas
Salary: 70,000 /yr
Position Summary:
The Operations Supervisor role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Marinas. The successful candidate will take pride in the Marinas and will work to build the business and operate it in a safe and efficient manner delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to the weekend marina staff at all three locations. Shifts are Friday through Monday 10 hours per day.
- Teamwork with weekday Operations Supervisor on all aspects of day-to-day operations.
- Travel between the three sites as needed.
- Manage schedules and staffing appropriate for the business needs.
- Supervision of staff including hiring, performance management & salary recommendations.
- Ensures the facility and its employees are complying with all safety procedures set by the company.
- Customer service – ensuring our customers always get the best possible service.
- Site Maintenance – working with contractors when required.
- Store stock control – ensuring inventory levels are kept at an appropriate level.
- Office Administration – completing reports as required by head office.
- Month end close procedures.
- Oversee process of accepting payments and cash handling.
- On call rotation for afterhours on weekends.
- All other duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience working with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and a strong proficiency in computer usage.
- 2 - 3 years previous experience supervising employees is required.
- Must be able to work 4x10 hr days - Fri-Sat-Sun-Mon. 7:30am – 6:00pm
- Marine knowledge and Industry experience an asset.
- A valid class 5 Drivers License and the means to self-transport between sites.
