Having spent the majority of your career working in the energy sector, you’re looking to leverage your leadership qualities to supervise an effective team that reliably and safely serves its customers. With a strategic mindset and ability to effectively communicate, you have the focus to be our next Operations Supervisor, Meter Shop. In this role, you will:
In this role, you will supervise and provide leadership to a team of skilled team members to meet daily operational demands and to support our internal and external customers within a designated geographical area and/or facility.
While utilizing your industry experience and education you will also leverage your organizational skills and strategic foresight to allocate resources effectively, supervise production requirements and expand accreditation scopes. You always put the safety of yourself and your peers first, and you know how to operate a team that demonstrates excellence in safety.

Expand your knowledge and understanding of Meter Shop operations, including metering technology as well as supporting Meter Shop equipment and quality assurance requirements.
Develop effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, such as Operations, Measurement Services, Facilities and Contractors.
Perform effective supervision of Meter Shop, including production requirements, resource allocation and expansion of accreditation scopes. In year 2, you will:
Identify and facilitate continuous improvement opportunities within the Meter Shop.
Continue to develop relationships, with the addition of our external Measurement customer base.
Assist Meter Shop Manager with development and implementation of key performance indicators (KPI’s). What it takes:
A post-secondary or trades education background from a recognized program, plus at least five years of experience in a leadership capacity, preferably in a unionized environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Proficient Microsoft Suite is desirable.
Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to changing requirements quickly.
