Ottawa Escape Room Development and Operations Supervisor

The Ottawa EscapeRoom Development and Operations Supervisor is primarily responsible for inspection, repair and upkeep of 15+ Escape Rooms across 4 venues in the Ottawa region under the guidance of the Director of Escape Operations and executive leadership.

Inspection and repair

• Regularly inspect venues with escapes supervisors or general managers
• Create task lists to address deficiencies and repairs in experiences with clear deadlines
• Follow up on repair and maintenance to-do list
• Use Trello to document lists and progress as a ticket management tool
• Work with management to schedule maintenance from qualified professionals when they are beyond the team’s scope of skill sets.

Development

• Work with the Director of Escapes on rebuilds of existing Escape Rooms to ensure we're keeping up with industry expectations
• Work with the Director of Escapes on new builds where applicable, including concept and creation of puzzles, room theming/decor, and story; followed by adequate hand off to front-line team members

The Ottawa EscapeRoom Development and Operations Supervisor will work a flexible schedule and must be able to reliably get to all Escape Manor venues in the Ottawa region, including the Diefenbunker in Carp. Shifts may include early mornings, evenings and weekends as needed to meet the demands of each venue.

Expected salary is approximately $45,000-50,000 annum, pro-rated for a six-month period. This may be adjusted to reflect a part-time working environment depending on the successful candidate.

The Ottawa EscapeRoom Development and Operations Supervisor contract would begin as soon as possible. There is a high likelihood of extension beyond the 6-month role.
