We are a small, fast-growing family-owned insurance brokerage looking for a freelancer to provide virtual part-time admin and client service support, primarily for two advisors.
The work in this role:
- Answering phone calls, including answering simple questions about our company and gathering details of callers' concerns
- Assisting with review and processing of applications for insurance
- Assisting with information-gathering for claims reviews and questions
- Sending information to prospects and new clients
- Updating client records in Hubspot
- Notifying our administrative partner firm of coverage changes / new clients
- Assisting with proposal documents
The skills we need:
- Excellent communication skills in English, written and verbal
- Attention to detail and accuracy of client health and insurance information
- Discretion and strict adherence to privacy related to all client information
- Solid working knowledge of MS 365 including Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Sharepoint
- Knowledge of Hubspot, CRM system (or ability to learn quickly on the job)
- Personable, caring phone manner with clients and prospects; good listening skills
- Well-organized to assist the partners in managing lead and client follow-ups
- Experience in customer service / enjoy working with the public
- Research ability e.g. to identify prescription drug / treatment info required by advisors
- Experience in the insurance industry (ideal but not essential if you're a quick learner when we introduce you to the basics you need for this role)
