```Job Overview```
We are seeking a skilled Parts Person to join our team. As a Parts Person, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our branch by managing inventory, procuring parts, and providing exceptional customer service. If you have mechanical knowledge, excellent data entry skills, and a passion for delivering top-notch customer service, we want to hear from you.
```Duties```
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure parts are properly stocked
- Receive and inspect incoming parts shipments
- Process parts orders and assist customers with their inquiries
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for data entry and tracking
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best pricing and terms
- Procure parts from various sources, including ordering, fabricating, or repairing as needed
- Assist technicians with identifying the correct parts for repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized parts department
```Experience```
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Mechanical knowledge to understand different types of parts and their functions
- Experience operating a forklift or willingness to learn
- Proficiency in data entry and computer skills
- Familiarity with IntelliDealer software is a plus
- Strong negotiation skills to obtain competitive pricing from suppliers
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and assist customers effectively
- Knowledge of Hydraulic systems is an asset
