Job Description – Parts Technician

In this central role, you will support our management team and strengthen the critical link between our customer service and parts sales initiatives as a Ford dealership

Responsibilities
· Deliver a high level of customer service to our internal & external customers. You will be required to work the front and back counters in our department.
· Applies retail techniques to sell and display parts and accessories; unpacks shipments and maintain displays.
· Assists in receiving and stocking parts orders.
· Assists and supports all Parts staff in placing parts orders for the dealership.
· Recording and monitoring all back orders.
· Uses computer to monitor and investigate parts disbursed per repair order.
· Maintains tight control over parts inventory to increase efficiency and eliminate customer delays.
· General housekeeping.
· Responding to all inquiries in a timely fashion by phone and emails ensuring timely follow up with all customers.
· Handling cash, debit and credit card payments
· Commitment to providing the best service possible.
Required Qualifications
· 2-3 years’ experience in automotive parts.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
· Stock handling, as well as dispensing, ordering, receiving, and inspecting parts inventories.
· Strong computer skills with experience in a computerized Parts department.
· Ability to work as a team player as well as independently, with little or no supervision
· Must be flexible and able to work well under pressure of deadlines, changing priorities and last-minute changes
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Proven ability to pay careful attention to details, (parts numbers, prices, terms, shipping & delivery information)
· Effective written and oral communication skills
· Must have reliable transportation
· Able to work various shifts, including some Saturdays
· Ability to adapt to the needs of our business
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with PBS software would be an asset
· Ford experience is an asset
· Wholesale experience is required
· Fork Lift experience
· Journeyman Parts Technician certification
