Purpose
Officer is located in Money Transfer Operations, Toronto, Canada responsible for ensuring busines strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations,internal policies and procedures.
What You’ll Do:
-Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
-Responsible for prompt and efficient verification of repaired wire payment instructions received according to procedures governing these transfers. The payment instructions may be received
-electronically or manually. The verification officer is responsible for having detailed knowledge of wire payment formatting to ensure the error or formatting issue can be quickly identified and repaired.
-Candidate is required to proactively take part in process improvements and quality control for continuous improvement.
-Work is completed in the most efficient manner to manage daily workflows including contributions to all queues in order to expedite execution of payments.
-Seeks to clarify inconsistencies or review operator errors and participate in establishing “best practices” standards to improve customer satisfaction.
-Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
-Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-today business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk,
-AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational
-Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF
-Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
-Builds a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using coaching mindset and behaviours; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and, managing succession and development planning for the team
What You’ll Bring:
-Working knowledge of wires, cheque clearing
-Experience with Bank Electronic Support System (BESS) or similar application
-Payment knowledge particularly with regards to the rules and regulations governing international and domestic wire payments
 
Work Arrangement: 
-Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
-Overtime will be required during peak periods.
-Operators work with minimal direction, utilizing queue management to work as efficiently and effectively as possible.
-Our Bank is committed to the delivery of customer service excellence. Ensuring our employees' hours of work are appropriate to meet the needs of the Department and our Internal Partners willfacilitate us in meeting our customer service goals. Current hours of operations are 12:00am-8:00pm and include multiple shifts to ensure appropriate coverage. For planning purposes, prior to any shift changes, the officer will be provided with advance notice confirming hours of work to allow sufficient time to make any necessary arrangements. Occasional assistance maybe required to support other shifts in order to ensure proper coverage
