Personal Supporter

Location: Oshawa.

Areas of Responsibility:

To assist a mature woman both in her home and in the community as desired and directed by her and her mother. Including but not limited to assisting to doctors appointments, and being an active member of her community.

· Provide direct support and personal care in her home as well as social and recreational activities, both at home and in the community ie banking, Library, shopping, etc

· Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with her mother

· Uphold, support, and contribute to the vision of a full contributing life in community

- an interest in movies and music may be an asset

Recommended Core Competencies:

· An energetic person who is confident, a ‘people-person,’ who has strong interpersonal skills, and is nurturing

· A self-motivated initiator who is observant and can think creatively

· A highly motivated attitude that seeks personal satisfaction in the success of the lives of others to live in typical community

Requirements:

· A clear Police Criminal Check for the Vulnerable Services Sector

· Some experience in the Human Services field

· PSW certificate, social services diploma can be an asset

- must have received minimum 2 Covid 19 vaccines

Must have own vehicle and be willing to drive in the Oshawa area

Salary: $21 per hour to start

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Salary: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 6 per week
