Pharmacy Assistant (Downtown)

HealthOne, conveniently located in downtown Toronto’s Waterfront neighourhood and steps away from Union Station, is currently seeking a Pharmacy Assistantto join our busy Pharmacy practice!

In this position, you will be responsible for assisting the Pharmacists in the technical aspects of prescription filling & dispensing, pharmacy operations, and related administrative duties in order to allow the Pharmacists to focus on providing high-quality patient care.

Schedule

Monday to Friday: 10:00am – 3:00pm

Responsibilities

• Greet customers courteously and gather required information to be able to fill prescriptions
• Fill prescriptions (always under the Pharmacist’s supervision), selecting appropriate products, counting/ measuring & preparing appropriate products
• Stocking prescription filling supplies (vials, labels, bags)
• Keeping the dispensary clean, organized and neat
• Completing any administrative support functions assigned (i.e. journals, accounts receivable, Aged Trial Balance)
• Ordering, stocking, cashier duties as assigned by OTC Manager and/or Pharmacist
• Assisting with OTC Operations
• Other responsibilities may be assigned

Requirements

• Strong client service skills, solid work ethic, impeccable organizational skills and an ability to manage competing priorities effectively while remaining efficient in your delivery
• Self starter, motivated by goals, and eager to wear multiple hats to be able to grow with us

Nice to Have

• Diploma from a credited Pharmacy Assistant or Technician course.
• Filware software and blister packing exposure.
• Previous experience in a similar position.
