We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and support. Your role will involve assisting in medication administration, maintaining inventory, and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy.
Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
- Prepare prescription orders by counting tablets, labeling bottles, and packaging medications
- Maintain proper storage and organization of medications
- Process insurance claims and handle billing procedures
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns
- Perform administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and managing inventory
- Adhere to all pharmacy regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
Qualifications:
- previous experience in a pharmacy using Kroll software or recent Pharmacy Assistant student at an Ontario community college
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient computer skills for data entry and prescription processing

Salary: $17.05-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
