Pharmacy Assistant/ Pharmacy Technician

Alpine Drug Mart is currently seeking a mature individual to join our team who possesses great interpersonal skills. Looking for someone to work 16-32 hours a week with alternating Saturdays 9:00 a.m. till 5:30 p.m.

We are a little store with a fast paced environment. This individual will work to performing a variety of duties that include:

- Opening procedures, processing charges, basic till duties

-Assist the pharmacist in dispensing medications to patients
- Prepare and package medications for distribution
- Maintain inventory of medications and supplies
- Enter prescription information into the computer system ( Pharmacy Technician)
- Answer phone calls and assist customers with inquiries

-Basic clerical duties including ordering, receiving, billing and filing
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

```Skills```

- Pharmacy technician certification or relevant experience preferred but not necessary-will train the right person as a Pharmacy Assistant

-Grade 12 graduation
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration an asset
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems an asset but not necessary
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
