Picker Operator

Xtreme Oilfield is looking for a Picker Operator to join their team!

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing lift services to customers by operating the boom of a picker truck, as well as transporting loads using the picker trailer when required.

Responsibilities

• Operation of 45 ton Stiff Boom
• Ensure proper load securement by reviewing rigging work prior to lifting; perform lift based on client needs
• Inquire about the weights and dimensions of the load from client
• When transport is required, ensure the load is properly secured on the picker trailer prior to departure. Travel to client site and unload upon arrival as directed
• Engage in pre-job requirements including proper boom set up, pre-operation inspection on the boom, and rigging
• Accurately complete all Field Level Risk Assessments, Drivers Logbooks, Field Tickets, Vehicle Pre-trip Inspections, and Crane Logbooks
• Review relevant Job Safety Analysis (JSAs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Practice workplace safety by adhering to safety policies and regulations
• Provide guidance to support workers and assign duties to assist in efficient job execution
• Perform other duties as required including various administrative tasks

Qualifications

• Journey Certified Boom Truck trade certification (Required)
• Class 1 Driver’s License with an acceptable abstract (Required)
• Minimum two (2) years of experience operating a picker truck
• Oilfield Hauling and Mechanical experience are considered an asset
• Current training tickets/certificates
