Our client, Canada's largest provider of sustainable construction materials, is seeking a Plant Manager in North Bay, ON who is highly motivated to achieve goals. The plant manager will be responsible for facilitating the day-to-day operations of the cement plant, overseeing the manufacturing of products, ensuring that deadlines are met and that quality standards are maintained.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the operations of the cement plant.
• Work closely with employees.
• Monitor employees' through performance reviews.
• Establish and monitor key performance measures for inventory management, maintenance, performance, quality, and financial performance
• Coordinate, implement and maintain safe work practices
• Travel twice a month to Manitoulin

Skills

• Be a motivational leader and promote superior work performance
• Ability to provide complete, direct and actionable feedback
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills and the desire to seek solutions
• Proficient with Microsoft applications, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Education & Experience

• Post secondary degree/diploma in construction management, engineering, or business
• 5+ years of experience in a leadership role within a heavy industrial domain
• Preference given to candidates with ready mix industry experience, or another plant environment comparable to heavy duty industrial where batching, delivery would take place.
