Plant Operator

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Processing Plant Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of our processing plant, ensuring efficient production processes and adherence to safety regulations. The Processing Plant Operator will play a key role in maintaining product quality, optimizing production output, and contributing to the overall success of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor processing equipment and heavy machinery to ensure proper functioning and optimal performance.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to prevent downtime and ensure safe operation.
• Monitor production processes to maintain product quality standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Follow established protocols and procedures for handling, storing, and disposing of materials and products.
• Maintain accurate records of production activities, equipment maintenance, and inventory levels.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and achieve production targets.
• Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge of processing plant operations.
• Comply with safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and increase efficiency.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant vocational training preferred.
• Proven experience working in a processing plant or similar environment.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery – loader / excavator / telehandler
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with operating and maintaining processing equipment such as conveyors, mixers, and pumps.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
• Physical stamina to handle heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking
• Commitment to safety and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $33.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 – 60 per week
