ABOUT QBQW CFS INC.: We are a growing Indigenous community-based organization, serving five southern and northern Indigenous communities of children, youth, families & Elders. Our Vision is to build communities of strong, healthy, successful Indigenous people and families connected to each other and to their roots by fostering their health & well-being through culturally relevant services, support, and advocacy.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Prevention Worker will be a highly motivated individual who will work with families to meet their care plan goals and achieve a satisfactory level of wellness and family functioning. Their role will be to assist in the implementation of the integrated strategy across primary, secondary and tertiary settings within the QBOW Child and Family Services Inc. service area. They will support the community served ensuring the successful delivery of prevention programming. The successful candidate will be a natural liaison nurturing and maintaining relationships with community leadership, staff and most importantly membership. They will participate in local prevention events, overseeing event operations and community engagements. Lastly, they will work to ensure and support appropriate referral pathways for the client group.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Diploma in Indigenous Social Work/Social Work
3 Years experience working with Indigenous Families in crisis with demonstrated facilitation experience
Valid Class 5 Drivers License
