This job is the perfect opportunity for a retired individual who loves Golf!

The Golf Shop Attendant is responsible for customer service and sales of golf merchandise and services. Our full-service golf course offers a 18-hole course, cart rentals, pro shop merchandise, and beverage carts.

The Golf Shop Attendant performs a variety of duties including, but not limited to, customer service in the sale of golf services and merchandise, booking tee times, ensuring carts and other equipment are prepared and ready for rental, cleaning and stocking of the Golf Shop and other public areas, and monitoring and dealing with service issues on the golf course.

Golf Shop Attendant Responsibilities include

• Provides excellent customer service, ensuring friendly and efficient service, recognizing regular customers and guests, as required.
• Answering the phone, and phone inquiries.
• Properly checks in golfers, ensuring rounds are appropriately recorded and all rentals, other services and products are appropriately captured.
• Ensures Golf Shop and golf services are set up and ready for guest use (eg. Carts, rental equipment).
• Identifies opportunities to provide suggestions to customers and suggest sales items, and features.
• Ensures the cleanliness of the Golf Shop, rental equipment, stock rooms, and public areas.
• Ensures proper opening and closing procedures are completed, including responsibility for ensuring proper opening and lock up of the shop.
• Answers general questions about overall golf club operations, where unable to answer questions, directs the customer to appropriate contact.
• Follows golf course rules, and policies, directing questions to management for clarity, as required.
• Makes customers aware of applicable golf course rules, and policies in a professional and diplomatic manner.

Skills

The following is not a requirement it is considered an asset.

• Proven work experience as a Golf Shop Attendant
• Knowledge of Golf
• Familiarity and Knowledge of POS Systems.
• Knowledge of golfing products and merchandise
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred

Must be available for flexible hours, including days, afternoons and weekends.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Salary: $17.50-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
