Produce Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Produce Manager to oversee the operations of our produce department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. As a Produce Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and freshness of our produce, managing inventory, supervising staff, and maintaining a clean and organized department.

Duties:
- Oversee all aspects of the produce department, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and merchandising
- Ensure that all produce is fresh, properly displayed, and meets quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders to maintain adequate stock
- Train and supervise produce department staff, including scheduling shifts and assigning tasks
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their inquiries, offering product recommendations, and resolving any issues or complaints
- Implement and enforce proper food safety and sanitation practices to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Conduct regular inspections of the department to identify any maintenance or cleanliness issues
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate promotions or special events
- Stay updated on industry trends and new products in order to make informed purchasing decisions

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a retail environment
- Strong mathematical skills for inventory management and pricing calculations
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers and staff members
- Organizational skills to manage inventory, schedules, and department operations
- Administrative skills for record keeping, reporting, and analyzing sales data
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of produce varieties, seasonality, and proper handling techniques
- Familiarity with cashiering procedures and cash handling protocols
- Fluency in multiple languages is a plus

Salary: $40,768.00-$53,331.20 per year
