We are seeking a Production Associate to join our Spherical Optics team at Raytheon ELCAN. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with skilled professionals, leverage advanced technologies, and contribute to the success of Raytheon ELCAN.
Reporting to the Sr. Supervisor, the Production Associate will work in collaboration with the team in Optics Manufacturing to increase and improve the production of optical components. The successful candidate will be trained to grind, lap and polish optical surfaces or generate mechanical dimensions on finished optical components to the highest accuracies. The successful candidate will work with state of the art metrology and production technologies.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of using measuring tools: calipers, micrometers.
- Must be skilled in the use of the metric system.
- Ability to understand and follow work instructions
- Experience in handling or assembling small parts with exceptional finger dexterity.
- Good visual acuity to spot imperfections in the parts or assemblies.
- Experience with assembling and handling of optical components, as well as understanding of optics surface quality specifications is a definite asset.
- Share in the commitment towards a positive workplace culture
Qualifications & Experience:
- Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma
- Highly motivated with a positive attitude Strong leadership skills
- Highly effective communications skills
- Proven ability to solve technical problems and make sound decisions
- Highly motivated with a demonstrated positive attitude
- Willingness to learn and acquire knowledge/understanding through study, instruction or experience
