Job Title:Production Engineer
Job Summary: Production Engineer will be responsible for Maintaining, developing, and optimizing our current fleet of downhole drilling tools used in the oil and gas industry. This role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams to create innovative solutions that enhance drilling efficiency, safety, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Tool Design: Develop and design downhole drilling tools, ensuring they meet industry standards and customer requirements.
Engineering Analysis: Perform structural and thermal analyses, stress testing, and other simulations to evaluate the performance and reliability of downhole tools under extreme conditions.
Material Selection: Choose appropriate materials and coatings to ensure tool durability and longevity in high-temperature, high-pressure, and corrosive downhole environments.
Prototyping: Create prototypes and conduct testing to validate design concepts and make necessary adjustments based on results.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, geologists, field technicians, and project managers to ensure the seamless integration of tools into drilling operations.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that downhole tool designs meet safety, environmental, and regulatory standards and guidelines.
Cost Management: Develop cost-effective designs while maintaining quality and performance standards, working within budget constraints.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of design specifications, testing results, and engineering documentation for future reference.
Problem Solving: Address and resolve design and operational issues, as well as provide technical support during drilling operations when required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in downhole drilling tool design, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and simulation tools.
Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and quality control.
Problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex engineering challenges.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work in multidisciplinary teams.
Awareness of safety and environmental regulations in the oil and gas industry.
Project management skills to meet deadlines and budgets.
Adaptability and the ability to stay updated with industry advancements.
