Production Technician

Overview:

The Production Technician plays a vital role in the execution of Tempus’s long-term goals of transforming the manufacturing industry through the widespread adoption of additive manufacturing in the supply chain. This role will enable Tempus to deliver consistent, timely services and products to our customers and will position Tempus as an exemplar in our industry.

Location:

This position is located at the Tempus 3D production facility in Trail BC. Office Hours are 8am to 5pm, however specific hours for the role may vary. This role is budgeted for 35 hours per week.

- Comfortable using technology on a daily basis including:

• Microsoft suite of products
• Experience with production management software is an asset
• Experience with CAD software is an asset

Experience:

• 1-3 years experience in additive manufacturing
• 2-3 years of experience in one of production, manufacturing, or distribution
• Experience in an ISO 9001 environment is an asset
• CAD Design experience is an asset
• Preference will be given to a student or graduate of the Selkirk College Digital Fabrication and Design program.

The Role:

The Production Technician will be responsible for:

1) Post processing of 3D printed parts including:

a. De-powdering

b. Bead blasting

c. Dyeing

d. Assembly of parts as required

2) Cleaning and maintaining production equipment

3) Preparation of files and packing of builds for printing

4) Performing quality assurance inspections on printed products

5) Packaging parts for shipping and preparing labels as necessary

6) Attend regular production meetings and communicate the status of projects to the production team

7) Some CAD design work will be required from time to time to make adjustments to customer designs.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
