Program Manager -- Fixtures

Gauge-Rite Inc. specializes in the design and build of high quality precision checking fixtures. Ranging from basic attribute check fixtures, to S.P.C. and many other variations as directed by you the customer.

Job Description:
Reporting to the Director of Sales and Program Management, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible to manage from start to finish each new build or ECO and other products produced by Unique Tool & Gauge/Gauge-Rite Inc. The Program Manager may be required to assist in other tasks as needed and determined by management.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Liaison between engineering, manufacturing and the customer
• Available to the customer as required
• Proactive, sales oriented, courteous, calm and professional at all times
• Clear, concise communicator (Thinks about how the customer would view the situation, document and/or conversation)
• Focus on making the customer's job as easy as possible (suggest arranging, or scheduling events for them, etc.)
• Prepares all new build or ECO work orders in accordance with company procedures and processes
• Reviews all Time and Material work orders, compiles cost, creates quote, gets approval from and submits quote to supervisor and submits costing to Office Manager or designate for invoicing
• Works with sales and estimating to process all new RFQ requests as received
• Quotes all ECO’s by using all available company resources (reference design, job costing, engineering, plant manager, etc.), submits estimate and quote to sales for approval and submission to customer
• Ensures ECO’s are estimated timely and overloads to estimating (within 48hrs of request or as needed by customer) Follow-up on all outstanding ECO quotes (Active/Inactive)
• Completes purchase order review on ECO’s and ensures all deliveries and requirements are reviewed and agreed prior to proceeding
• Ensures all required job information is available and is accurate (CAD, prints, lineup, timing, delivery, standards, buyoff, etc.)
• Initiates feasibilities and any other supportive activities (meetings, etc.)
• Maintains communication with customer during the life cycle of the job in a professional and organized manner
• All milestones established with customer in writing (First shots, tool trials, etc., not including timelines)
• Schedule and track the completion of each design stage in conjunction with engineering and our customers
• Maintains overall project budget and timing throughout the life cycle of the job
• Present during internal design reviews and external when required
• Performs internal buyoff on all completed new builds and ECO’s and provides feedback to design and manufacturing on any changes
• Reviews all internal documents for accuracy and prepares/submits all customer buyoff packages
• Initiates follow-up with customer after delivery and maintains follow-up
• Tracks company tool performance through the entire life cycle of the program (Program Managers are required to review each tool at its one-year anniversary of production and list suggestions for maintenance for customer)

Qualifications:

• ISO and QS interactive
• Promote and communicate a safe and healthy work environment, ensure customers and vendors are informed of our health and safety visitor policy
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Must demonstrate proficiency with CAD viewers
• Skilled in GD&T
• 5 years' experience in related field preferred
• Excellent communication skills -- verbal and written
• Strong work ethic
• Must be able to function as part of a team, problem solve, and demonstrate exceptional organizational skills

Salary:

$70,000 to $85,0000 (Based on years' of experience)
